Slovenian born (1992), Tadej Oblak (known as Pop-art by Tadej) is regarded as a rising star in the artist circuit in Amsterdam.
Tadej studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana and Zagreb, practicing old-traditional printing techniques like lithography and etching. Nowadays he works from his studio in Amsterdam and loves combining old and new techniques.
His vibrant designs and portraits are not meant ‘to be understood’, nor to be thought over endlessly - but rather give an instant gratification - a feeling of joy, energy, and liveliness.
Besides custom wall art projects and playful portraits, Tadej was commissioned in the last years by brands like YouTube, Ray-Ban, Swatch, Glenfiddich, and Sofitel Legend the Grand Amsterdam to make colorful reinterpretations and designs with their products.
