• A4 210 x 297 mm (8.3 x 11.7”) with a 10 mm white border around

• A3 297 x 420 mm (11,7 x 16,5”) with a 20 mm white border around

• A2 420 x 594 mm (16,5” x 23.4”) with a 30 mm white border around

• A1 594 x 841 mm (23,4” x 33.1”) with a 40 mm white border around

My suggestions for framing and mating would be:

A4 210 x 297 mm (8.3 x 11.7”)

• Frame size: 30 x 40 cm (12 x 16”)

• Matboard size: same as the frame, so 30 x 40 cm (12 x 16”)

• Mat window size: 18 x 27 cm (7 x 10,5”)*

A3 297 x 420 mm (11,7 x 16,5”)

• Frame size: 50 x 60 cm (19,7 x 23,6”)

• Mat board size: same as the frame, so 50 x 60 cm (19,7 x 23,6”)

• Mat window size: 25 x 37 cm (9,5 x 14,5”)*

A2 420 x 594 mm (16,5” x 23.4”)

• Frame size: 50 x 70 cm (19,7” x 27,6”)

• Matboard size: same as the frame, so 50 x 70 cm (19,7” x 27,6”)

• Mat window size: 40 x 58 cm (15,7” x 22.8”)*

A1 594 x 841 mm (23,4” x 33.1”)

• Frame size: 70cm x 100 cm (27,6” x 39,4”)

• Matboard size: same as the frame, so 70cm x 100 cm (27,6” x 39,4”)

• Mat window size: 57 x 82,5 cm (22.4” x 32,5”)*

* Please note! If you choose a different frame, the size of the opening window mat stays always the same!
